๐Ÿ“– Metrics Guide

Market Capitalization: Reference-date closing price ร— total shares outstanding. Standard proxy for free-float liquidity and institutional investability.
Closing Price: Common-stock closing price (KRW) on the most recent trading session.
P/E (Price-to-Earnings): Share price รท TTM (trailing twelve months) basic EPS attributable to controlling interests. Quarterly: rolling 12-month earnings; Annual: full-year EPS.
P/B (Price-to-Book): Share price รท book value per share attributable to controlling interests (treasury shares excluded from the share count).
ROE (Return on Equity): TTM net income attributable to controlling interests รท average controlling-interest equity ร— 100 (equity: average of current and prior-year same period)
3Y Avg Operating Margin: Simple average of operating margin over the trailing three fiscal years. Gauges through-the-cycle core profitability.
Latest Operating Margin: Operating margin for the most recent fiscal year. Snapshot of current core profitability.
3Y Avg Net Margin: Simple average of net margin over the trailing three fiscal years, inclusive of non-operating items (e.g., FX, fair-value adjustments, impairments).
Latest Net Margin: Net margin for the most recent fiscal year, inclusive of non-operating items.
CFO / Operating Income (3Y Avg): Simple average of annual cash flow from operations รท operating income. Measures the cash-conversion quality of reported operating earnings.
FCF / Net Income (3Y Avg): Simple average of annual free cash flow (CFO โˆ’ CapEx) รท net income. Measures the cash-conversion quality of reported net earnings.
Dividend Payout Ratio: Total declared dividends for the attributable fiscal year (final + interim) รท controlling-interest net income ร— 100. Under Korean corporate law, final dividends are confirmed at the following year's AGM; the ratio therefore reflects the most recently ratified fiscal year.
Shareholder Payout Ratio: (Attributable declared dividends + absolute value of share-repurchase outlays) รท controlling-interest net income ร— 100. Captures total earnings returned to equity holders via both dividends and buybacks. Uses the same reference year as the payout ratio.
Shareholder Payout / FCF: (Attributable declared dividends + absolute value of share-repurchase outlays) รท annual free cash flow (FCF) ร— 100. Captures free cash flow returned to equity holders via both dividends and buybacks. Uses the same reference year as the payout ratio.
Dividend Yield: Declared dividends รท market capitalization ร— treasury adjustment factor ร— 100. The numerator is the most recently ratified fiscal-year dividend; the denominator is daily-updated market capitalization (previous close). Treasury adjustment factor = 1 รท (1 โˆ’ treasury share ratio), correcting for the structural mismatch where Korean market cap is computed on issued shares while dividends are paid only on outstanding shares.
Shareholder Yield: (Declared dividends + absolute value of share repurchases) รท market capitalization ร— treasury adjustment factor ร— 100. Extends dividend yield to incorporate buybacks (which mechanically increase per-share intrinsic value through float reduction).
Net Cash Position: (Cash & equivalents + short-term financial instruments + other current financial assets, etc.) โˆ’ (all interest-bearing liabilities incl. borrowings, bonds, convertible bonds, etc.). A positive balance indicates balance-sheet flexibility to fund CapEx, M&A, or capital returns.
Net Cash / Market Cap: Net cash position รท market capitalization ร— 100 (%).
Net Cash / Equity: Net cash position รท controlling-interest equity ร— 100 (%).
Equity Invest / Mkt Cap: Equity method investments (associates & JV, book value) รท market cap ร— 100(%). Higher ratio indicates significant subsidiary/associate stake value relative to market cap.
Inv Property / Mkt Cap: Investment property รท market cap ร— 100(%). Higher ratio indicates significant real estate asset value relative to market cap.
Fin Assets / Mkt Cap: (Current & non-current FVTPL + current & non-current FVOCI) รท market cap ร— 100(%). Financial assets measured at fair value as % of market cap.
3Y Revenue CAGR: Compound annual growth rate of revenue over the trailing three fiscal years.
3Y Operating Income CAGR: Compound annual growth rate of operating income over the trailing three fiscal years.
3Y CFO CAGR: Compound annual growth rate of cash flow from operations over the trailing three fiscal years.
20D Avg Daily Turnover: Trailing 20-session average daily trading value (โ‚ฉB). Practical gauge of market depth and execution capacity.
Turnover Ratio: 20-day average daily turnover รท market capitalization ร— 100 (%). Size-adjusted liquidity measure; at identical won turnover, large-caps print lower ratios than mid-caps.
Major Shareholder Ownership: Aggregate year-end ownership (%) of the largest shareholder and related parties per the latest DART periodic filing. Higher concentration typically reflects stable control, but may constrain free float.
Treasury Share Ratio: Treasury shares รท total issued shares ร— 100 (%). Treasury shares carry no voting rights.
TTM (Trailing Twelve Months): Where indicated, income-statement and cash-flow metrics are computed on a rolling four-quarter basis using the latest quarterly, semi-annual, or annual filing available on DART.

๐Ÿ“Œ This tool performs purely quantitative screening. A complete investment thesis requires qualitative judgment โ€” moat, management, regulatory exposure, and sector dynamics โ€” beyond the numbers.
๐Ÿ“Œ Preferred shares and infrastructure funds are structurally incompatible with these metrics and are automatically excluded from the screening universe.
๐Ÿ“Œ Conventional profitability and growth metrics do not translate to Banks, Securities, and Insurance sectors due to fundamentally different income statement structures under K-IFRS. ROE remains a valid cross-sector comparator.
๐Ÿ“Œ For interim (quarterly/semi-annual) periods, 3-year average margins and growth rates are calculated using current-quarter TTM (trailing 12 months), Y-1, and Y-2 annual figures.
